This course reviews Depressive Disorders as presented in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, published by the American Psychiatric Association. Participants will be introduced or reacquainted with DSM-V-TR standard classification of Depressive Disorders and enhance their knowledge of correlated Diagnostic Criteria and Features, Specifiers, Prevalence, Development and Course, and Differential Diagnosis, Comorbidity. Additionally, this course considers aspects of Treatment Planning, which serve several purposes - Communicates goals and objectives, details intervention strategies, sets priorities, and evaluates progress.
